Biker Love done right!

Unbeautifully (Undeniable, #2)Unbeautifully by Madeline Sheehan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

My mind is currently blown....I need time to formulate a review, yeah it was that good!!!

Madeline is the goddess of all that is raw, gritty, sexy, painful, and hot!!  She has written one of the best MC books ever.  I love this one more than Undeniable. (I honestly didn't think that was possible)

It is not a pretty, I love you, no I love you more book.  It is about what really happens when four damaged people try to make things work. Especially in a world that doesn't play by the rules most people feel are normal.  They say and do horrible things to each other, but they also love stronger than most people.

I really loved that was so much of Eva and Deuce's story in this. Half of the book is devoted to Ripper and Danny, and half to Eva and Deuce.  It gives you all the time between where last book left off, and the Epilogue.  I was wondering how Deuce and Eva would heal after all the things that went down with Frankie, and this gave you all the ugly and beautiful details.  I fell in love with Deuce all over again.

We also get insight into what makes Ripper tick, and what exactly happened when he was taken by Frankie.  Why he is so mad at Eva, and how he hooked up with Danny.

Loved it!

KA attack

Fire Inside (Chaos, #2)Fire Inside by Kristen Ashley
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

OK.......it was a 2.5
Once again I really wanted to like this story........but I didn't.  Call me old fashioned, but I like a little romancing before my characters fall into bed together.  I also love a well written Alpha.  I got neither with this book.

Spoilers ahead!!

The book starts with the two of them hooking up.  There is no usual KA wooing, and witty banter.  Just some wham bam, thank you Hop.  There was so much deep stuff going on with both them that could have been explored, it just wasn't.  I actually *gasp* skipped some of the love scenes.  I know, I am appalled for myself.  KA writes hot sex scenes.  I just got tired of the argue..sex...argue...action scene...sex...argue formula.

I actually stopped reading at around 80% when they were having a tender moment and Hop busts out with something along the lines of " I love it when that mouth is around my cock".  I did a massive eye roll, and put down the iPad.

Born by Tara Brown Volume 1

Born (Born, #1)Born by Tara Brown
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

End of the world? check
love triangle? check
zombies? check
evil government? check
lots of action? check
Doomsday prepper pay off? double check

Recommended for those of you that liked The Hunger Games.  It isn't a carbon copy, but it has the kids in a tough situation, and the ugly side of having to grow up too fast.
This is a new spin on the post apocalyptic zombie theme. All of the characters are deep and well written, I can't wait to read the next.

Elite by Rachel Van Dyken

4.5 Stars

My rating: 4 of 5 stars
1. Do not touch The Elect.

2. Do not look at The Elect.

3. Do not speak to The Elect.

Sounds simple, right.....obviously not when you room with the leader's sister, and he is best looking guy you have ever seen. Trace shows up at this school she was let in on a charity lottery straight out of the farm country of Wyoming.  She even moo's to her classmates at an assembly.  Trace is an awkward girl dream.

This book falls nicely in the NA genre with both age group and content.  I thought I was just going to start this book and read until I got sleepy.  Three hours later I had to put it down because I kept dropping my iPad on my face trying to stay awake.  I then woke up at 5 to finish it.   There was just the right amount of awkward, sexual tension, action, possible love triangle, and lots of surprising twists.  The author was even nice enough (or mean, depending on how much of a masochist you are) to leave you with the prologue to the second book, which I trade arm for right now. I just need a hook or something to hold my iPad.

The only down points are the setting is a little odd.  It is supposed to be a college, but I was convinced for almost half the book that it was High School.  I little bit of a sophisticated High School, but it seemed to clique and young to be college.  Other than that I was hooked.

Recommended for those of you who liked Sempre, it has that same bad boy swagger.
